Rogers Conservation Area, Newmarket

Near the East Gwillimbury GO station, there’s a loop that gives you both sides of a canal, which has natural environments on both sides. This time of year, there’s a wealth of snow and milder temperatures. One bird feeder area attracts birds to one area year round. The loop circles round at an open marsh area with a dam.

The marsh is your turnaround. A few lone trees stand out.
A chickadee hangs around the vicinity of the bird feeder
The dam features a view of a long wall alongside the river. Ice and snow build up round patterns.
